Amanda Upchurch - NVMT#7070 Harlo Massage

I am a recently-returned native Nevadan: enjoyed what the Bay Area had to offer and worked for a sports chiropractor since 2018...but now I'm back!
‍
I became fascinated with the power of massage when I received psoas work on my abdomen to relieve my low back pain. Determined to help others with their pain management through massage, I left my life at the Nevada Humane Society to attend The Nevada School of Massage Therapy in Las Vegas, graduating in 2014. Since then, I've studied to further enhance the breadth of pain management treatment I can provide by learning therapies including cupping, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), manual lymphatic drainage, and kinesiology taping. 

In my free time, I enjoy aerial silks, beach days, hiking and paddle-boarding. (and my awesome boyfriend fiancée who built me this website.)

Lymphatic Drainage

Manual lymphatic drainage is a light pressure massage technique  intended to move lymphatic fluid from congested areas. Light pumping motions are used to move lymphatic fluid though the lymph system in order to reduce general swelling.

IASTM uses specialized stainless steel tools with smoothed edges to apply direct compressive strokes to scrape muscles, fascia, and tendons-breaking up adhesions causing pain and restriction in movement.
